چکیده

Electric car-sharing systems have attracted large attention in recent years as a new business model for achieving both economic and environmental benefits urban areas. Among different types, the one considered this paper is so-called one-way system whereby user can begin end trip at any station of system. At same time, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) concept emerging possible innovative solution smart power grid control. A management that combines operations V2G technology challenge academia industry. In work, mixed integer linear programming formulation proposed to find optimal electric vehicles integrated with technology. The mathematical allows finding start-of-day distribution maximizes total revenue obtained from users profits through daily charging/discharging schedules. These schedules are based on mean users' requests electricity prices. be applied evaluate average profitability operations. order test performance, we it small-size network real-size (the Delft Netherlands). Under assumptions, adoption fully cover charging costs due users’ trips obtain by taking advantage unused time without significantly reducing satisfied demand. Most energy purchased charge batteries provided back during peak load demand, creating also providers.

Electric-vehicle car-sharing in one-way car-sharing systems considering depreciation costs of vehicles and chargers

In recent years, car-sharing systems have been announced as a way to increase mobility and to decrease the number of single-occupant vehicles, congestion, and air pollution in many parts of the world. This study presents a linear programming model to optimize one-way car-sharing systems for electric cars considering the depreciation costs of chargers and vehicles as well as relocation cost of v...

Fleet Management for Vehicle Sharing Operations Final Report

Transit, touted as a solution to urban mobility problems, cannot match the addictive flexibility of the automobile. 86.5% of all trips in the U.S. are in personal vehicles (USDOT 2001). A more recent approach to reduce automobile ownership is through the use of vehicle sharing programs (VSPs). A VSP involves a fleet of vehicles located strategically at stations across the transportation network...

A New Mathematical Model for the Green Vehicle Routing Problem by Considering a Bi-Fuel Mixed Vehicle Fleet

This paper formulates a mathematical model for the Green Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP), incorporating bi-fuel (natural gas and gasoline) pickup trucks in a mixed vehicle fleet. The objective is to minimize overall costs relating to service (earliness and tardiness), transportation (fixed, variable and fuel), and carbon emissions. To reflect a real-world situation, the study considers: (1) a co...

Solving a New Multi-Period Mathematical Model of the Rail-Car Fleet Size and Car Utilization by Simulated Annealing

There is a significant interaction between sizing a fleet of rail cars and its utilization. This paper presents a new multi-period mathematical model and a solution procedure to optimize the rail-car fleet size and freight car allocation, wherein car demands, and travel times, are assumed to be deterministic, and unmet demands are backordered. This problem is considered NP-complete. In other wo...

Operations of a Shared, Autonomous, Electric Vehicle Fleet: Implications of Vehicle & Charging Infrastructure Decisions

The nexus of autonomous vehicle (AV) and electric vehicle (EV) technologies has important potential impacts on our transportation systems, particularly in the case of shared-use vehicles. There are natural synergies between shared AV fleets and EV technology, since fleets of AVs resolve the practical limitations of today’s non-autonomous EVs, including traveler range anxiety, access to charging...
